Lofts sculptures confirmed to be just as racy as you thought

It's a dildo! It's a butt plug! No, it's art!

Australian artist of the courtyard sculptures at the University Lofts (previously Calhoun Lofts), Lawrence Argent, confirmed this week that the piece is just as sexual as everyone assumed.
"I started with a flaccid penis, and I thought, why stop here? So I made a dildo and a butt plug too. It was supposed to be one of those 'emperor with no clothes' things. Universities will buy anything if I act confident enough when I call it a masterpiece. I kind of forgot about it until now though."
While administration may have been duped by Argent's "art" instillation, students were not. We spoke to students at the lofts, and they were far too sharp to be fooled by these giant sex toys. "I always knew it was sexual" says junior, Mariam Khan. "I usually tell my friends 'Meet me at the butt plugs' or 'Let's go to the Subway by the flaccid penis'. It's interesting that it was so obvious to me and my friends, but the university never caught on."

Sophomore art major, Samuel Lareau, however, appreciates the piece just like it is. "I think it is a criticism of the hyper-sexualized culture on college campuses today," he says. "It serves as a commentary on the way that we objectify others and allow others objectify us. To some, we appear to be fine works of art. To others, we are only seen as inanimate sex toys."
